This is what was featured in Vogue today about this great week that began this morning.........
"FASHION month is upon us again and starting the proceedings is New
York Fashion Week - a schedule packed with more shows than any other city. To help guide you through a substantial eight days of catwalk action (a week just isn't long enough for the New Yorkers), we've rounded up our key highlights.
of course, there are the city's fashion bastions - from Ralph Lauren and Diane von Furstenberg to Marc Jacobs, Jason Wu and Calvin Klein, and the shows that will attract the stars - Rodarte, Proenza Schouler, Alexander Wang, Oscar de la Renta and Victoria
Beckham, whose Sunday show is sure to spark a paparazzi frenzy if her loyal family attends once again.
This season, newcomers to the line-up include British brand AllSaints, which will make
its NY debut on Sunday 8 and Monday 9 with two presentations, and Opening Ceremony - who will stage its first solo show on Sunday 8. Another name to watch is Adam Selman, Rihanna's
costume designer and one of the creative minds behind the star's River Island line, who will unveil his first collection under his own label on September 5. American label Suno, co-designed by Max Osterweis
and Erin Beatty, will also have editors and buyers clambering for seats on Friday 8, having taken home Swarovski's womenswear prize at this year's CFDA Awards.
Every season, there are a few design helm changes, and spring/summer 2014 is no exception.
Former Mugler creative director and Lady Gaga collaboratorNicola Formichetti will make his first outing as Diesel's artistic director on Tuesday 10. Diesel boss Renzo Rosso said at the time
of the designer's appointment that he was thrilled to have found someone "as crazy as I am", so we expect something truly daring from this new pairing.
This could be the last season that the Lincoln Center is used as the event's official home, as a
lawsuit filed against New York City Council and the venue rages on. The case mantains that the use of the space for commercial functions, such as Fashion Week, restricts the public's access to the area for most of the year. It remains to be whether or not
the CFDA has considered new options as of yet.

Of course I will look out for GREAT NEW HANDBAGS featured
in New York Fashion Week and report back to blog toute de suite! Sissy x
